Can you believe we’re already into week 3 of January…2016!!! How are those resolutions coming along? Are you sticking with yours? I went to our awesome gym at Camden Plaza today and attempted to workout- key word- attempted. My effort was made though! It helps that I have this incredible fitness center at our community that offers fitness classes, towel service, and bottled waters for free!
I heard a statistic on the radio that said people who make fitness resolutions at the new year are 38% more likely to fail at those goals! That made me sad, so I did some research for extra motivation! Here’s three ways to stick to your New Year’s resolution.
Step 1- Read this article from Summer Tomato: How to Start Working Out When You Don’t Like to Work Out
Because let’s be real- it’s not everyone’s favorite thing to do! (From summertomato.com)
Step 2- Download one of The 25 Best Fitness Apps from PCmag.com. I’m leaning towards Charity Miles- run for good of others and yourself!
Free Available on: Android, iOS Free at iTunes Store
Earn money for charities every time you run, walk, or bicycle by using the free Charity Miles app. Corporate sponsors (whose information you’ll see as a backdrop image in the app) agree to donate a few cents for every mile you complete. Browse the app’s list of charities, find the one that you support, and then hit the road. When a lot of people use Charity Miles, those little bits of money add up. (from PCmag.com)
Step 3- Reward yourself with some awesome new workout gear! With selections for Women, Men, and Kids- there’s something from everyone. I can’t wait to get some new workout clothes that are stylish and actually work with my body for the type of work out I’m doing! Check out Fabletics! (from Fabletics.com)
So don’t be discouraged if you haven’t been rock solid these first few weeks- try these few steps to see if you can stay on track with your new year’s fitness resolutions! I’m right there with you!
