Across all Camden communities nationwide, October 22nd was Resident Appreciation Day (or RAD as we’ve fondly named it). We appreciate our residents every day, but two weeks ago we showed it in a big way. We had two simple goals for the day: 1) Spread #CamdenHappy to 2) as many residents as possible. We are pleased to say that we reached over 16,000 residents in a single day and spread our #CamdenHappy message to over 15,000 residents on social media! Here is some of the fun stuff that went on for Resident Appreciation Day:
Camden Post Oak made a RAD sweets bar for their residents.
Camden Stockbridge prepared a fall feast for their RAD residents. A brand new resident shared that he is going through some tough times and that Camden has made a huge impact on him, helping him to get through it. He smiled while eating his bowl of chili at the Resident Appreciation Day event and felt #CamdenHappy.
Camden Sierra at Otay Ranch created an entire Big Top theme: all of the staff participated in making cotton candy, snow cones, hotdogs and popcorn! One of the kiddos said as he got his cotton candy, “You guys must be happy to do this every year for us!”At Camden Heights this little furry resident was begging for his Yappy Hour treats! He is a regular visitor at the leasing office for treats, so he knew exactly where to go.
Camden Cotton Mills stood with their handmade selfie frame as they passed over 100 bagels out to residents at 6 am! Yum!
Camden Vanderbilt made goodies for all of their residents and passed out Camden bags to their residents who lived there the longest- one resident has lived at Camden Vanderbilt for 20 years!
Elizabeth, a leasing consultant at Camden Vanderbilt said, “I loved getting to be able to pass out the baskets to our longest residents, they told us stories about the property and what their favorite things about the community are.”
Camden Brushy Creek was screaming for ice cream! Even the staff’s kiddos got involved in #CamdenHappy fun.
Camden Royal Oaks, our 55+ community in Houston, TX, celebrated RAD with Operation Gratitude. The staff and residents wrote letters to our troops, thanking them for their service and spreading #CamdenHappy to those who keep us safe.
All of the Camden staff had a blast interacting with residents and sharing #CamdenHappy with each of them. We can’t wait until the next Camden Resident Appreciation Day!
This post was put together thanks to the efforts of the entire Simply Camden blog team!
