As a working mom, there are certain values I look for in a company when applying for a new job.
It’s no surprise that Camden was number one on my wish list when it came to looking for a new job as a working mom. It fits all my criteria and more.
- Maternity leave
- A Mother’s room for new moms
- Flexible hours
- Great benefits
- Understanding staff
After my precious baby boy made his entrance into the world last November, I felt ready to get back to work thanks to Camden, its family-oriented values and its accommodations for working moms.
Coming back to work to an understanding and flexible work environment was one less thing this sleep-deprived, hormonal, already-anxious mom of a newborn had to worry about. I couldn’t wait to get to work. When was the last time you felt like that?
Camden has a certain way of making their employees actually want to come to work and feel valued for what they do. I love that.
I spoke with other working moms here at Camden and the sentiment is the same.
“It’s been a blessing to be a working mom at Camden. I’ve received some of the best parenting advice from my coworkers at Camden,” said Amy Funk, Regional Vice President, who just celebrated her 20th anniversary working at Camden. “Kids matter at Camden! Camden doesn’t just want you to have a work/life balance, it’s an expectation. Family is everything.”
“One of the best things I love about working for Camden is that it gives me the opportunity to set an example for my kids about the importance of providing for your family,” said Ashlea Wright, Executive Assistant, who has been at Camden for five years. “I also love all the questioning looks I get from my kids when I dress up for company events. My three year old just asked me last week if I were really wearing my JJ Watt Jersey to work!”
“I appreciate that Camden is a company that values family. I do not feel pressured to choose between my work life and home life,” said Lisa Mohr, Project Manager, who has been at Camden for eight years. “My co-workers are always there to cheer me on and support me in both of my roles.”
“Camden has always been incredibly accommodating as a working mom with flexible hours – because you never know when you’ll need to go pick up your son from school when he spikes a fever,” Sana Din Fox, leasing consultant who has been at Camden Post Oak for three and half years. “It makes my job a little easier knowing I can still be a working mom because of how well Camden values and supports family.”
You see, there’s a reason Camden is currently ranked on Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For and has continued to be for nine years in a row. Employees are valued and respected. See what else makes Camden great. Thinking about joining the Camden Family? Click here for our job openings.
Thank you Camden for being a company that supports and accomodates working moms. My heart belongs to my new baby boy (and husband!) but you definitely have a piece of it.
